From Sir Robin Knox-Johnston - Skipper

Despite the wet weather the hardy hikers were out exploring the countryside. The lakes are stunning and Terry was having success at catching fish too! Alex and Mark cooked an excellent Lasagne so we are feeling well.

The ice is now packed solid to the south blocking all access. So as you can imagine the water is rather cold!

I have been told that I needed to explain Ian's swimming atempt in more detail so here it is:

Ian decided that Bob Siceloff wasn't catching the water correctly for washing down the decks and offered to show him the "proper" method. He swung the bucket with panache but unfortunately the rope came loose, the bucket fell in to the water - and Ian went after it! Alex and Bob were holding his legs but he was half submerged by the time he got to it! Bob's comment was that while Ian's method was interesting and very dramatic it seemed a touch too cold for him to try!

Hope all is going well at St Katharine Docks.

Regards
