The two clippers have been trying to go south to the entrance of the Angmagssalik Fjord to position themselves near the airfield for the crew change.

Roughly 35 miles to go and we have made good progress recently. We re unable to see into the next fjord but can go by dinghy if necessary. Antiope is leading at the moment and Charlie doing a good job. It's giving him lots of practice for getting out to sea for leg 4.
Message from Bob Siceloff in his own secret code: 'Can you put MULU on the web site'

Bob Siceloff comes from the West Coast of the States. He was with Sir Robin on the Spitzbergen trip in Malcolm Miller in June 96. I have no idea what MULU is but I suspect it is a secret message to his stockbroker.

Moored in Kap Dan, the village for Kulusuk so my worries about getting through yesterday are over. Phew! Loads of ice, 23 miles of weaving. Odd bergs carefully nudged aside but no damage. Just had a Bushmills with Charlie Osborne and the two mates. They have all done a fine job and so too have the crews. I wouldn't want this as a regular job.

There is an evident degree of relief in Sir Robin's messages as they have had a challenging time threading their way through the ice. All now looks set for the forthcoming crew change with the outgoing crew leaving on the 30th (Thursday) and the incoming ones arriving on 31st. Len from the Clipper office is one of the new crew and if you want to send a message out I suggest you fax it to him today on 44(0)1234 711250. He is all heart and I am sure would do that for you!

Please keep the feed back coming.
