Leg 4-Homewrd Bound!
Crew members from leg 3 were seen safely away into the air this morning. I was sad to see them go as I had many new friends amongst them. The Norwegians were great guys, our young polish man was very enthusiastic, 'Bravo Oscar Bravo' created more than a laugh, and Terry was simply Terry. Not practical to mention you all, but believe me you are certainly not forgotten and were a great crew!
Leg 3 started with a great crossing from Iceland to the field/pack ice which was 'interesting' to pass. Looking back there were many highlights. Ammassalik and its population of characters, the fjords, the climbing to the hut (which I shall visit some day), the fishing and a short period of swimming! All in all, quite an adventure!
Sir Robin has now left us, and shall be missed. However hid departure has given Alex and myself the opportunity for some mischief. I'm not saying what we got up to, but we certainly had fun today! Dinner tonight was provided by the sea again. 30 arctic char were snatched from the depths by Alex, Ian and myself and lovingly fried onboard Ariel.
One more leg to go, but surprisingly I still have great excitement for it to begin, just as much so as when we left Plymouth. Thank for making leg 3 such fun guys, and come and get it leg 4ers!
Regards to everyone. Mark
