Approach to Aconcagua We decided to do some trekking around Aconcagua, so our little group took the bus to Puente del Inca and spent the night in the abandoned railway station that is being converted into a hostel before entering the national park. By this time, Matt, Greg and Jan are hardcore trekkers and look suitably loaded for the expedition! Even here at 2700 or so metres altitude, it takes a little effort to get your breath.
