Verona We didn't have any great expectations of Verona, but it turned out to be quite lovely. This is the Roman amphitheatre in the big town square. We had to do the touristy thang and go see Juliette's house, but we refrained from rubbing the breast of her statue for luck (even if we'd wanted to, we would have had to batter to death about a zillion camcorder-toting americans to get within cooee).
