Bergamo In one epic day, we drove from Solda into San Moritz in Switzerland and then back into Italy all the way to Bergamo. We were looking for somewhere north of Milan to stay for the F1 Grand Prix, but there wasn't even a mud hut with a spare bed. We drove back and forth until about 10pm before finally securing a room in Bergamo, which turned out to be a good thing, as the old town turned out to be splendid.
