The English Patient II Minus her right shoe, Ailbhe is whisked briskly and efficiently to hospital where she would spend the next week. Her leg turned out to have an awful spiral fracture requiring loads of screws and plates (we have spared you the xrays which are truly stomach churning). Poor Ailbhe underwent surgery up in Shrewsbury whilst the rest of us returned to London. Still, she had Cartman to keep her company and keep her spirits up.
