Flying to Cayo Guillermo
We flew from Havana over the northern coastline of Cuba to Cayo Guillermo, one of the several islands that are joined to the mainlaind by a huge causeway. The causeway seems to have been made by joining up all the little lowlying islands in the lagoons. The lagoons themselves are chock-a-block full of pink flamingoes. Cubans aren't allowed up the causeway unless they specifically have permission to work in one of the resorts - all the resorts are foreigners-only enclaves.
